Hi! My name is Coach J.R.

Andrew Brass is the Founder, President and Head Coach of Nevada Storm Youth Track Club. He’s better known as “Coach J.R.” on the track and field scene. Coach J.R was raised in Las Vegas where he ran at Western HS and was named “Honorable Mentioned All American”- a national recognition. He received a scholarship to Northern Arizona University- home of the Lumberjack. Coach J.R ran the 55m, 300m and 4x400m relay during the indoor season. During the outdoor season, he ran the 100m, 200m, 4x100m and 4x400m relay. Coach J.R has been coaching youth track for over twenty years. He started coaching in 1996 with the P.S Vegas Flyers under the leadership of Head Coach Roy Session. Coach J.R graduated from Northern Arizona University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology. He’s certified as a Level 1 USATF, and is currently in the process of certification as a USATF Official. Coach J.R is a dedicated husband and father.

Hi! I'm Coach Cheryl

Cheryl is the Sprint Coach for Nevada Storm. She started running track in the 8th grade in Houston, Texas and continued through high school.

She earned a full scholarship in track to UNLV- University Nevada at Las Vegas. At UNLV she ran the 400, 800, all relays, and cross country. Coach Cheryl is a 3-time All-American in the 4x100 and 4x400 relay. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management Degree from UNLV.

Coach Cheryl has been coaching youth track for about 15 years. She has her Level 1 coaching certification.

Coach Cheryl has a son (Chris) who is married to (Brittani) with two beautiful grand-kids, Kennedy and Jax.
